Product Manager

As Product Manager, you perform one of the most important functions within our organisation. You support the internal customer (Marketing and Sales) and look after the relationship with external suppliers in order to put together a competitive offer for the organisation and thus achieve sales and margin targets.

Where will you be working?
The Van Domburg Group consists of several companies, including Van Domburg Partners, Van Domburg Transport and Dutch Light. Van Domburg Partners is the largest audiovisual (AV) distributor in the Benelux. Van Domburg Transport specialises in Storage and Transport of audiovisual products and climate control equipment and Dutch Light is a creative consultancy active in the professional lighting market. The Van Domburg Group is part of the Midwich Group, which is among the largest AV distributors in the world. Which colleagues do you work with?
Within the team, you work intensively with the other Product Managers and the Product Management Support Assistants. You also have daily contact with the Sales colleagues and the colleagues from the Marketing department. It is important that you can interact well and quickly with all departments. You will report to the Business Manager.
 
Core activities and responsibilities:
As Product Manager, you act as the first point of contact for the brands in your portfolio. To achieve the best possible cooperation, you build a good relationship with the suppliers. You follow up and check delivery times with our suppliers. In addition, you check the receipt of goods and make sure it is entered into the ERP system. By correctly interpreting and using management information, you steer the objectives and performance of suppliers from your portfolio and improve them where necessary.
 
Furthermore, you ensure a financially and commercially balanced stock level using the available software tools and maintain the price structure within the ERP system in order to optimise returns, taking into account the market situation, service levels and purchasing conditions.
 
Finally, you are responsible for implementing price adjustments and claims within your own brand portfolio, support the Business Manager in drawing up short- and long-term business plans and actively cooperate with the Sales and Marketing departments.

Job requirements:
  • HBO working and thinking level;
  •  At least 3 years' work experience in a similar position;
  •  Affinity with the AV & IT market;
  •  A good command of the Dutch and English languages (both verbal and written);
  •  Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is a requirement;
  •  Knowledge of an ERP system is a plus.
