As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the customer base. You make a major contribution to achieving sales growth and margin targets and improving market position. Where will you be working?
The Van Domburg Group consists of several companies, including Van Domburg Partners, Van Domburg Transport and Dutch Light. Van Domburg Partners is the largest audiovisual (AV) distributor in the Benelux. Van Domburg Transport specialises in Storage and Transport of audiovisual products and climate control equipment and Dutch Light is a creative consultancy active in the professional lighting market. The Van Domburg Group is part of the Midwich Group, which is among the largest AV distributors in the world. Together with our colleagues worldwide and our knowledge of local and international markets, we contribute every day to digitising the future.
 
Which colleagues do you work with?
Within the team, you work intensively with colleagues from the Sales and Product Management departments. The Sales team consists of Account Managers, Sales Support and a Technical Specialist. You will also work closely with the Marketing and Finance departments.
 
What are your duties?
As an Account Manager, you are the first point of contact for our customers and you are responsible for your own customer base. You will draw up quotations based on the portfolio, the customer's wishes and the advice of the Technical Specialist. You also maintain the relationship with the customer, give product demonstrations in our impressive Experience Rooms and provide support for the larger and more complex AV projects. Internally, you translate market needs to Marketing and Product Management colleagues. This enables the development of new promotions and actions around the products. Finally, you attend supplier training courses and webinars to broaden your technical knowledge, so that you can always provide the customer with well-founded and distinctive advice.
 
What do you need in order to do this successfully?
  • MBO/HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 5 years of commercial work experience in the (business) market;
  • Affinity with the AV & IT market;
  • A good command of the Dutch and English languages (both verbal and written);
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is a requirement;
  • Knowledge of an ERP/CRM system is a plus.
